During my research for this book, Google repeatedly alerted me to suspicious activity (apparently, curiosity has become a crime). Meanwhile, Microsoft and HP bombarded me with urgent security updates and mandatory restarts-always at the most inconvenient moments, typically when I was delving into the juiciest bits.
Coincidence? I'll let you decide. However, let's say the tech overlords-and evidently some other influential figures-aren't too fond of inquisitive minds probing into their affairs.
Still, there's a glimmer of hope.
