This is an inspiring story about a mother encouraging her son to dream big and know that he can break the racial barriers that were once set to limit boys of color from being whatever they desired to be partly due to discrimination. She points out different jobs he could seek for his career path so that he does not feel limited on what he can do to make his presence big in the world because he does not see many men who resembles him in these positions. The story would resonate well with mothers, in particular since they are the ones who serve as the best yet most challenging mentors for their sons. Recommended for ages 6 and up.
