As I reflect on my journey-tracing the path I've traveled, contemplating where I'm headed, and envisioning my dreams-I'm increasingly aware of how little control I wield over the external forces that shape my life. The past is a closed chapter, the future remains an enigma, and even the present often feels like sand slipping through my fingers. When we filter life through the lens of control, it can cast a pall of bleakness, driving us to grasp at fleeting opportunities that can lead us astray.
In my pursuit to seize the handlebars of my existence, I've stumbled into questionable, even perilous situations. But in this journey of discovering what is the meaning of all of this. In the various trials and tribulations, I've uncovered a profound truth: my understanding of Christ-and the uncertainty surrounding His identity-deeply influences how I navigate this sense of powerlessness.
Life often feels like traversing a dark tunnel, yearning for that moment when light pierces the shadows and reveals the way ahead. Yet, without God, that light remains elusive. He is our guiding beacon, illuminating the path through life's uncertainties. In Him, we discover clarity amid chaos and the strength to embrace the unknown with unwavering hope. This rewrite came when I realized I had absolutely no idea that I didn't understand The Gospel until 2024, 7 years after I had been witnessed to in a manner that was unconventional, leaving me wondering if I knew the One True God but begged me to ask the question, Is this from God?
