This book was born of a simple conviction: Algeria's energy future depends not just on big political decisions, but also on small local actions.For a long time, our country relied almost exclusively on natural gas to meet its electricity needs. This wealth has enabled us to develop, but it has also made us vulnerable: vulnerable to economic fluctuations, vulnerable to resource depletion, and above all vulnerable to global climatic challenges.Yet Algeria is blessed by nature: generous sunshine, steady wind and immense potential for renewable energies. So why not harness this power? Why not turn every public building into an example of local, clean and sustainable production? This book tells a simple but hopeful story. It's about a library in Boumerdès, an ordinary building that could become a model for energy transition on a small scale. It's not a technical manual for specialists.
