Riding over a thousand challenging miles on horseback to New Orleans, across uncharted and dangerous territory and then back.
Bill Rampy is leading a caravan across territory with no real trails; but plenty of danger, including swollen rivers, wild animals, and unfamiliar Indians. The wagons are loaded with valuable trade goods on their journey from New Orleans to Santa Fe. After a wagon accident seriously injures one of Bill's brothers; it is unclear whether-or-not the caravan will be able to complete its journey.
