While facing the hardest time in his life, Anthony Smith, decides to go on a hike in the North Georgia mountains with his dog Milo. They stop for a break under a shaded tree, where Milo find a notebook that leads Anthony, back in time, through the life of Ruthie Mae and her husband Levi.
