The Delight Makers is a historical novel written by Adolph F. Bandelier. The story is set in the ancient Puebloan civilization of the American Southwest, where the main character, a young man named Koshares, is chosen to become a Delight Maker - a member of a sacred society responsible for organizing and performing religious ceremonies and festivals. Through his experiences, Koshares learns about the complex social and religious structures of his society, as well as the challenges and dangers that come with being a member of the Delight Makers. Along the way, he also falls in love with a young woman named Tzitzu, and must navigate the customs and expectations of courtship in his culture. The novel provides a vivid and detailed portrayal of Puebloan life and culture, and explores themes of tradition, spirituality, and community. This Is A New Release Of The Original 1918 Edition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
