We Are Always Watching had me conjuring the spirit of McDowell's classic, The Elementals... until it curved and curved again. I liked everything about this novel from cover to close. With climbing suspense, gut-wrenching twists, and a high-octane finish, We Are Always Watching is horror at its finest.
