Chasity Danielle Evans is a thirty-eight year old African American female who feels a calling on her life to join the mission department at, Morning Light Baptist Church (Pastor Terry). She understands that missions mean a calling to bring people to the Lord, so because she feels ill-equipped, she begins to take classes at the local Christian Bible college.
There are men everywhere, so her plan is to sit in the back and avoid every brother. What she didn't plan on was getting really close to the guy who sits besides her... Thomas Caesar Crawford, who happens to be a white guy. After one year, Thomas changes her life completely by helping her both spiritually and financially. Then a years turns into a year in a half, then a year and nine month, and he finally succumbs to her advances and they go places neither should have ventured. Why? Because Thomas has some secrets.
