A five year old boy experiences the rescue of Ethiopian Jews in Operation Solomon as if it is a dream.
Believing he is amongst the last Jews in the world, a young Jewish boy in Ethiopia has a dream of flying on Eagle's wings to a new home and discovers he is not alone.
In this story of dreams, choices, and what it means to belong, Yosef and his family choose to fly to Israel and make a new home ending nearly 3,000 years of exile for their people.
An author's note provides background about the Jews of Ethiopia and the 1991 rescue mission, called Operation Solomon where the efforts of the Israeli government and the Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia, Asher Naim, flew nearly 14,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel in the space of 36 hours.
