Dr. Marianne Kobiak is a genius by any standards. Stopping the drug starts the aging process again, giving people the option of extending their lives at their own pace and to whatever extent they choose. It worked like a dream at first. But she realized too late that her miracle drug had a terrible side effect, one that would affect approximately half of the people who took it. She's now racing to find a cure and save the world. Meanwhile, everyone else is just trying to survive.
