Inspired by his own illnesses, Piéron transforms hospital supplies into imaginative installations
French artist Benoît Piéron (born 1983) has spent most of his life in hospitals undergoing treatment for several immune diseases. In Slumber Party, he incorporates bedsheets, ambulance sirens and stuffed animals into his works, applying softness to the hard spaces of a hospital.
