2019 is the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Yanjing University (aka Yenching University), a Christian college that was established in 1919 by John Leighton Stuart. As well known as it had been, however, the university was short lived and had only been in operation for thirty-three years. This book reveals the ill-fated truth of the university and its faculty members including my father, Zhao Chengxin, who was the head of the Faculty of Law at Yanjing University and the dean of the Department of Sociology. He was one of the early sociologists in China who contributed his lifetime's hard work to sociology.
