那么，桂林人又是怎么看自己的呢？
桂林人说桂林有三宝：辣椒酱、豆腐乳、三花酒。
桂林人也说自己有三多：卯哥卯妹夜屎佬。这三多是什么意思？无从考证，无法言传，但可以意会。我问过许多桂林人，老的、少的、学堂里的、市井上的，大概的意思是，朋友聚会抢着买单，自己又没有太多的钱；朋友遇事抢着帮忙，自己又没有太大的权；有侠气仗义却不在道上，喜张扬自我却不在理上，让旁人一眼就知道他的半斤八两，这种人属于卯哥。见了大款认干爹，见了靓仔叫哥哥；拿起麦克能唱，端起酒杯能喝；你说她傻吧她又不傻，你说她精吧她又不精，这种人属于卯妹。而夜屎佬呢，是指一些大事做不成，小事不肯做；肚中半吊子，满嘴跑火车的人；他们喜欢张家长、李家短，说是好心吧，而实际上又起了挑拨的作用。
哈哈，敢于自嘲和拿自己调侃，这还真是桂林人的一种风格，一种幽默，一种胆识，一种文化。
