This book explores the development and application of a Real-Time Non-Surfactant Emulsion Fuel Supply System (RTES) for diesel-powered road vehicles. The system produces Water-in-Diesel (W/D) emulsion fuel instantly without using surfactants, reducing cost and complexity. RTES was tested on a 1-ton light-duty diesel truck through chassis dynamometer and on-road experiments to evaluate emissions and fuel performance. Results showed the optimal water content for both low- and high-grade diesel fuels was 6.5%, with the best operating speed at 52 km/h. Urban low-speed driving proved less suitable for emulsion use. The study confirms RTES operates stably in road applications and effectively varies exhaust emissions and fuel consumption based on water ratio and driving speed, offering a cleaner and more practical diesel alternative.
