Fabiana Muni è nata a Catania nel 1986, dove vive e lavora come pedagogista per il supporto alla persona e alla famiglia e tutor per studenti con disturbi dell'apprendimento. Nel 2006 ha vinto il ii premio Kiwanis, nel 2012 ha collaborato alla pubblicazione di Neurologia e Psichiatria dello sviluppo (Elsevier). Nel 2017 ha iniziato la sua importante battaglia, descritta in questo suo romanzo d'esordio.
Quando la protagonista si trova di fronte a una nuova battaglia a trent'anni la scrittura diventa il suo rifugio, un modo per dare voce ai suoi pensieri e alle sue emozioni.
