The author has included numerous lists within, such as: Testators for Augusta County, 1778-1786; testators for Franklin County, 1770-1783; persons selling land in Rockingham County, 1777-1793; testators for Shenandoah County, 1772-1784, members of House of Burgesses, 1742-1776; members of the Virginia Senate and House of Delegates, 1883-1903; Revolutionary Pensioners from Frederick, Page, Rockingham and Shenandoah Counties. The index mentions over 3,800 individuals.
