The dervish asked the rich man, You are giving me a thousand rupees. How much do you have for yourself?

Do you still hanker after more?

Then I cannot accept your offering, said the dervish. For a rich man must not receive one poorer then he!
I do not understand, said the rich man.
The dervish explained, Though I have nothing I desire nothing! You have plenty; and yet desire much more! Surely, the man who desires is poorer than the man who is content with what he has!
