It was the Spring of the year. The cold Winter had finally left Texas. Toombs Sullivan and the Dallas-based Texas Rangers had a time of rest and rebuilding. They hired nine new Rangers to replace the ones who had been killed fighting the Comancheros.
With the passing of late Winter, with no trouble from the Comanches, the Rangers agreed to chase down a gang of bank robbers. Their mission took them far away to west Texas, to a place where no lawmen had ever gone before.
There was nothing good about the place where they went. It was a bad place where only bad men stayed. In such a place only bad things can happen.
