Stomping down the steps from the porch, Stevie wiped the tears from his eyes with a glove before putting them on, as his vision became obstructed. He stopped at the edge of the driveway and looked to his left, down the road. Not wanting to be seen crying by Bronson and the kids if they should come back before he calmed down, he started walking the other direction, thinking he might buy coffee at the gas station.
