Each symbol in the Samoan alphabet is displayed in a 3D wood illustrations, together with an associated colorful image that represents that letter in Samoan. Interactive discussions between adults and children are important to further solidify the understanding of what is being seen and read. To ensure that the child focuses on each symbol in the Samoan alphabet, we used both facing pages to introduce one concept, building on this understanding, before moving on to the next page to introduce the next alphabet symbol.
