The fourth edition incorporates findings and data from the 2020 WRF project 4689 study; the 2016 Residential End Uses of Water, Version 2 study (WRF project 4309B; DeOreo et al. 2016); and other studies including similar high-resolution demand profiling approaches. The Residential End Uses of Water, Version 2 study provides an updated and expanded assessment of water use in single-family households across North America and presents detailed information and data about how water use has changed since WRF's oft-cited 1999 Residential End Uses of Water was published (Mayer et al. 1999).
