Colin Campbell's pioneering video art inspired a generation of multimedia artists. While he produced more than fifty videos, including the influential Sackville, I'm Yours (1972), Hollywood and Vine (1977), and Bad Girls (1980), Campbell left an equally large impact through his advocacy. A dedicated teacher, he played an active role in the artist-run center movement and established Canada's largest video art distributor, Vtape.
