Murphy is an Australian shepherd--a mid-sized dog with a big woolly coat of hair and a permanent smile on his face.
Murphy could easily have been trained to herd sheep, goats, or cattle. Instead, his owners saw his intelligence and gentleness and decided on a new career for Murphy--as a care dog! He was trained to visit and sit with people and children in hospitals, seniors care centers, and schools. His training was a series of special stages for him to remain calm under pressure around a lot of noise and people. Follow along as Murphy learns a whole range of new skills.
