Ojie The Honeybee is an allegory about a young female honeybee who has learned from her family how to care for her community through the delivery of essential oils in their honey. An overworked hive is starving for a remedy, but the key ingredient is guarded by territorial hornets across a river dividing the city.

Much like navigating the outcomes of the United States' destructive, longstanding prohibition of some plant medicines, young Ojie must outthink misguided foes to save her hive and eventually communities well beyond.

The price of this book is $14.20 in celebration of one particular plant's history and culture. We will donate 10% of the proceeds to The Last Prisoner Project to allow Ojie to live her best life, helping right the wrongs of a broken system.
