Development is a relative concept. It involves a systematic and positive change in the physical qualities of life of the people. Though we have achieved food security, but it is not stable. Basic problems of food security, poverty, equity and sustainability of resources are cause of concern for all of us. The Government of India assists the farmers to make agricultural farming viable and remunerative, Rural development has evolved over the years more generally in a symbiotic relationship: from community development through the Green Revolution to integrated rural development; and from the mid- 1980s.
