Professor Skoral, a lead archaeologist, begins a meticulous excavation of the Age of Noise-the final centuries of human history. Through corrupted data fragments and neural archives, he discovers that humanity didn't fall; they became obsessed with Connectivity. As their technology for brain-to-brain interfaces perfected, the human experience shifted from the physical streets to a vast, invisible network of shared thought.

As the Kirscali dig deeper, they realize they aren't alone. The team begins experiencing The Whispers-sensory echoes and ripples of profound calm.
