En sus contenidos, el autor se centra en El Mal, como símbolo, y desarrolla la forma en cómo se proyecta sobre la cotidianidad. Gradualmente, va comenzando a ahondar en las repercusiones sociales e individuales de esta proyección, y en sus orígenes y causas. Analiza implacablemente esa realidad que construimos y sostenemos en nuestra vigilia cotidiana, mostrándonos desnudamente su irrealidad.
Para romper este hechizo, plantea el uso de un tipo intelecto espontáneo, exento de ventajismos y vanidades, capaz de marcar firmemente los linderos entre la astucia y la sabiduría.
Después, nos adentra en el arquetipo del Demiurgo, con el que se recrea, para mostrarnos la naturaleza ilusoria de la Creación y las bases reales del Pecado Original.
Plantea que debemos aceptar e indagar El Mal si queremos conocerlo y neutralizarlo. También se pregunta sobre las causas de que algo de tal magnitud, sea ignorado por la sociedad occidental contemporánea.
Finalmente, utilizando un formato de diálogos, se centra en varios temas (cuya interpretación errónea podría confundir a quien se precipite, sin haber aún madurado los contenidos que se señalan), fijando claramente, en sus respuestas, esos límites que protegen a la realidad de la imaginación.
El proceso del despertar no sucederá sin una verdadera implicación y sin un verdadero entusiasmo. Es decir, se requiere de una actitud seria, alejada de todo infantilismo.
Cuando estas cualidades (requeridas para un despertar de la conciencia) están ausentes, el proceso descendente (que se inicia con el rechazo) no se detiene, avanzando irresolublemente hacia una huida imposible.
Esta huida alcanza cotas inimaginables, si encuentra complicidad en un mundo irreal. Una irrealidad generada por el juego emocional de una conceptualización defensiva. Este juego se legitima en el acobardamiento frente a la Verdad.
El acobardamiento no es fácil de aceptar, siendo habitualmente negado, para no perjudicar nuestra auto imagen. Una imagen ficticia, creada por la imaginación, para llevar adelante la mencionada huida.
