As a first-time mom in 2009, I faced the fear and uncertainty of an unexpected cesarean after a long day at work and a routine prenatal visit that turned into hours of waiting and life-changing news.
In this heartfelt book, I share my personal journey through five C-sections and interview three incredible mothers, Nefertiti Wade, Shayla Patrick, and Gloria Louissaint, who also gave birth via cesarean. Together, we open up about the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of C-section delivery, as well as the strength it takes to heal and embrace our stories.
This book is dedicated to all cesarean mothers, expectant women, and the loved ones who support them. Every birth experience is different, but one thing remains true: the love and strength it takes to bring life into the world is powerful and worthy of honor.
