The economic shock from COVID-19 negatively affected economies around the world, given lock-downs, social distancing, and other restrictions that then triggered a significant decline in earnings and outputs that put hundreds of million of people out of labor markets according to reports from the World Bank, the International Labour Organization, and others. With high GDP growth for more than two decades, Cambodia's economy registered a negative growth for the first time in 2020 of negative three percent. The focus of the research was to identify the effectiveness of the support programs and economic recoveries policies that the government and the international community put in place to respond to COVID-19 in Cambodia. The goal was to examine policies options for Cambodia's sustainable development in response to the pandemic.
