WHAT IF I WERE GAY?
I was watching a television program about the pain and suffering of the LGBTQ community because they were looked upon as different. I thought no, you are not different in the mind of Jesus Christ. I wanted to tell that story, but then I thought, how can I write about being gay when I am not? What authority did I have to address a life that I was not living? And then the question came, What if I were gay? What if those who were not gay asked themselves, What if I were gay? Would it be possible that, although we could not fully relate to the pain and suffering, we would not be among those causing it? A book was born, this book.
