As parents, we have the unique opportunity to personify the love of Christ for our children. The most rewarding way to do this is by loving our children the way Christ loves us. Sometimes, love is easy. Other times, it is incredibly difficult. All the time, it is possible.
God is glorified when a father follows His pattern of loving his family. Discipline, stewardship, grace, security, and sacrifice are tools our Heavenly Father uses to draw us to Himself. Daddies can access these through a personal relationship with God. He made a way for all to know Him through the sacrifice of His son, Jesus. When we LOVE our children the way God LOVES us, we point them to the Savior.
This book is for dads and children alike. Both need to be reminded of the sacrificial love Jesus has bestowed upon us. God has purposefully designed the family to illustrate His love both to each other and ultimately to our world.
