Warning: While there are some chillingly thrilling moments, House of Horrors is not as scary as its name sounds. In fact, its very funny a lot of the time, like the other 'Game on Boys' books. Could this be the end for Ryan James and the PlayStation club? Will he ever get to play Minecraft or see his PlayStation again, or is this the finish for Rino and his annoying sister?
Travelling overseas on yet another adventurous family holiday (BORING), instead of holed up at home in front of his PlayStation (HEAVEN), Ryan and his sister find themselves bored out of their minds, stuck in an old motel room while a storm ravages outside.
Trying to escape the boredom, Ryan is coaxed into exploring the dead end town with his sister against his father's strict instructions. But their adventure soon turns sour when a savage cyclone and a destructive fire threaten to take their life away.
The dream holiday overseas soon turns into a nightmare for Ryan James and his annoying sister Lisa, when they find themselves seeking shelter from the damaging storm in a haunted house. After getting trapped in a video game and becoming a superhero in a previous adventure, nothing seems too frightening for Ryan. But the dilapidated old house with its strange occurrences may prove to be far more challenging than any old video game as he fights his way through the dangerous peril.

Best book series after Wimpy Kid. I give it 5 stars. Quite scary at times but overall a very exciting and thrilling book. Really thrilling and lots of fun to read. I like the way this series actually takes an everyday kid playing video games and then turns it into a great adventure story. Really thrilling, and lots of fun to read. It was also extremely exhilarating to read. The author takes a light-hearted and sometimes outrageous sense of humor and uses it to deal with serious issues that middle school kids have to deal with in their everyday lives. FOR PARENTS
