Abdominal tuberculosis has remained for decades one of the most difficult forms of extrapulmonary tuberculosis to diagnose. This monograph examines in detail the role of laparoscopy as a complex diagnostic tool that combines visual assessment of the abdominal organs, the possibility of direct detection of tuberculous lesions, and the collection of biopsy material for morphological and microbiological verification of the diagnosis.
