Originally published by Floyd Clymer in 1969 shortly after the introduction of the 175cc Stiletto and the 250cc Pioneer models, this manual has been updated to provide maintenance and repair data for the 5 speed 1971 onwards series of 175cc and 250cc Explorer, Phantom, Pioneer, Plonker, Stiletto and Super Pioneer models.
This manual also includes a supplement for the (1977-1978) 250cc Six-Day, GPIII, Super Pioneer and the 310cc Mountaineer and BLT Plonker models which utilize the 250cc engine bored and stroked to obtain 310cc. In addition, while the focus of this manual is on the 175cc and 250cc powered bikes, it can also be used as a guide for any of the 125cc models as engine servicing and overhaul procedures are identical. Please note that data for the earlier 4 speed transmission is no longer included.
