One of the important ethno medicinal herb-Corynandra chelidonii was recently reported new species from India, Cleome chelidonii belongs to Cleomaceae family according to latest APG classification. It was the rare, endemic important Ethnomedicinal herb. Phytochemical analysis for the presence of secondary metabolites and their pharmacological activities studied. Identified novel therapeutic compounds by GC-MS analysis. Determined of antioxidant activity by DPPH Assay. Preliminary investigation by MTT ASSAY for the presence of anticancer activity. GC-MS analysis results reported 4 compounds which are identified as the first report from Corynandra chelidonii. They are namely,2,2,2-Trichloro-1-(2- nitrophenylthioamino) ethanol, N, N'-Bis (piperonylidene) ethylenediamine, 3'-methoxy-2,2'- dinitro- Phenylethylene, and Cycloprop-2-enecarbonic acid, 2-(2-propenyl)-methyl ester. The free radical scavenging activity of ethanolic extract of this has potent antioxidant activity with half maximum concentration IC50 as 66.97. The scavenging activity was increased in a dose dependant manner ( which initiated with 5 g and reached to 88% at 500 g/ml.
