I was inspired to write this book because of the things I
saw my grandmother and great grandmother do that brought back healing. They made teas, poultices and salves from leaves, roots and barks. Great grandma Amy Weston (MA) was a mid-wife who could make things happen with her herbs and teas. Things that we call incurable today were somehow cured with what our grandparents used.
Now I see people fill their cabinets with a pill for this and a capsule for this. I think its time to eat right, exercise, pray and believe God and return to the nature. With this in mind, I set out to capture the knowledge that our ancestors and elderly citizens are taking to the grave because that knowledge is not being written down and passed from generation to generation.
