Rivers did not flow gently like they do today. Instead, they were frozen and made loud cracking sounds under thick ice. Even the sun felt far away, like a shy lantern hiding behind pale clouds, giving only a little warmth.

Even though the world was freezing, life still existed everywhere. The Ice Age was dangerous, but it was also full of strong and amazing animals. Woolly rhinos walked through deep snow like moving rocks, protected by their thick fur coats. Saber-toothed cats moved quietly through the shadows, their sharp eyes shining like small flames against the white land. Long lines of reindeer traveled together across the plains, searching for food and safe places to rest. Every creature was fighting to survive, staying strong even in the coldest days.

The biggest and most important animals of the Ice Age were the mammoths. Mammoths were huge like walking mountains, but they also had gentle hearts. Their fur was thick and shaggy, colored dusty gold and warm brown, and it moved like heavy blankets in the wind. Their tusks curved forward like giant moons, and their heavy footsteps shook the ground. Mammoths lived in herds and protected their calves like a family, because staying together was the best way to survive.

The story begins with a young mammoth named Tarak. He is brave, curious, and different from the others. On his forehead, he has a white mark shaped like a star. The elders believe it is a special sign. Tarak loves exploring and feels the world calling him to something greater than just surviving.

One day, Tarak meets a human girl named Eira, who is lost and alone in the snow. She is cold and afraid, but Tarak helps her. Slowly, something rare grows between them: trust. Together, Tarak and Eira learn that friendship can be stronger than fear, and kindness can shine even in a frozen world. This story is about courage, hope, and survival in the time of ice.
