La Constitución de la República de Cuba de 2019 es un documento legal que establece la estructura polÃtica, económica y social de Cuba, reflejando los principios de la nación y sus aspiraciones futuras. Esta constitución proclama el socialismo y el comunismo como formas de gobierno del paÃs.
Se declara irrevocable el sistema socialista y se establece el derecho a combatir por todos los medios contra cualquier intento de derribar el orden polÃtico, social y económico establecido.
El Partido Comunista de Cuba se reconoce como la fuerza polÃtica dirigente superior de la sociedad y del Estado, subrayando su rol en la organización y orientación de los esfuerzos comunes hacia la construcción del socialismo y el avance hacia la sociedad comunista. Este aspecto refleja la importancia de la unidad nacional y el liderazgo del Partido Comunista en la vida polÃtica cubana.
La constitución también aborda los derechos y deberes de los ciudadanos, proclamando la igualdad ante la ley y estableciendo el marco para la protección de derechos fundamentales como la vida, la libertad, la justicia, la seguridad y la educación, entre otros.
El texto legal también detalla la estructura del Estado, incluyendo la organización y funcionamiento de los órganos del Estado como la Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular, el Consejo de Estado y el Consejo de Ministros, entre otros, definiendo sus funciones y competencias.
