Este libro fue publicado por primera vez a principios de los años 70 por la editorial de los Comités de Acción Europea (Comités d'Action Européenne) que dirigÃa Pierre Clementi.
Nos ha parecido útil publicarlo en lengua castellana, como un documento histórico que da testimonio de las reflexiones religiosas que, en aquellos momentos, se hacÃan algunos de los que formaban en la derecha más radical (los Comités d'Action Européene, el Nouvel Ordre Européen, etc.) y en la vÃa de la moderación (Ordre Nouveau y el Front National).
Hemos realizado la traducción a partir de la reedición de esta obra realizada por Ars Magna, en su colección Sonnenwende, impresa en marzo de 2020. El texto, pertenece al tercer capÃtulo de la obra de Howard Stewart Chamberlain, Los fundamentos del siglo XIX y nos hemos limitado a eliminar algunos comentarios realizados en la primera edición francesa que estaban fuera de lugar en una edición en lengua castellana. Hemos cotejado el contenido de esta obra con la edición original inglesa (The Foundations of the Nineteenth Century, 2 Vol., John Lane, The Bodley Head, 1911) y hemos comprobado que Clementi y Witte, sus editores en la primera edición francesa, se limitaron a hacer la traducción, resumiendo algunas páginas; estos recortes no afecta en nada ni a las ideas que se presentan en esta obra, solamente las podan de aspectos que tenÃan importancia a principios del siglo XX, pero que la han perdido cien años después. Asà mismo, la voluminosa obra de Chamberlain, tiene cierta tendencia a la disquisición erudita que corre el riesgo de desviar del tema central. Clementi y Witte, resumieron el capÃtulo, eliminando algunos párrafos en absoluto relevantes y que no tenÃan nada que ver con el tema del judaÃsmo de Cristo.
En la traducción que realizamos de BenjamÃn H. Freedman, La historia oculta de los falsos hebreos. Los jázaros: los judÃos modernos no descienden de Israel, ya manifestamos nuestro interés por la cuestión del origen del cristianismo y la etnia hebrea. Con la traducción de este libro reiteramos ese interés. Advertimos que esta es la primera traducción realizada manualmente a la lengua castellana. Circula una catastrófica versión, apenas comprensible del mismo tÃtulo a la que, además, no se le ha realizado una labor de poda para garantizar la comprensión del texto.
